Post frame construction is the most energy efficient type of construction in the market. Post frame lends itself to being “Green” with large, unobstructed wall cavities for insulation and wood structural framing that are excellent natural insulators.
Our exterior walls have an 8 ½” wall cavity for our standard R-19 wall insulation, with up to R-30 easily achieved depending on our customer's needs. This wall insulation package combined with our standard R-40 ceiling insulation makes HB’s buildings the most energy efficient in the industry.
ComCheck, an energy code compliance software program, used by most architects and building codes, consistently rates post frame construction as a more energy efficient building system than typical steel or stud frame construction.
