Our client had a vision to honor his family and enjoy the experiences of time, so walking into the garage is like a walk down “Memory Lane”. He has his grandfather’s model T and an assortment of cars that represent his life journey. He is able to display and enjoy these cars with family and friends while gathering in either the garage or family area. The whole building compliments their beautifully situated estate.
This delightful post and beam appearance barn has multiple hobby functions. The Malishenko family is enjoying the fruits of a sustainable property. They have a greenhouse and chicken coup also. They intend to seed and post plants; raise chicks; carry out property maintenance/projects and as opportunity permits entertain out of this building.
The building is nestled in a wooded area and needed to be close enough to the existing residence to share some utilities. We utilized a continuous concrete frostwall at the foundation perimeter. Hardi panel siding was used with Hardi battons and trims. The main residence has a standing seam roof but we used an antique bronze 5-v crimp roof panel to supply an appearance connection. We used American Heritage overlaid garage doors to supply value, as well as cedar pergola and crossbuck details to accent the natural environment. We extended a 12’ x 12’ exterior deck with stairway access off of the second floor to enjoy quiet seclusion. The 1st and 2nd floor are completely finished and supply plenty of space to host family and friends.
When you are able to keep a business in full service during addition and remodel work it is a noteworthy accomplishment. The roof connection was the biggest challenge. We extended the new truss with a cantilever design to limit additional load to the existing roof structure. We were able to develop the roof line so there are no “odd” roof pitch adjustments. The interior connections were through post frame and block wall sections. The flow of staff and patients has increased enjoyment and efficiency in the work place. The addition included a new and larger surgery area, staff break room and restroom, oral health room with four tables and a manager’s office. The remodel areas added two exam rooms, kennel improvements and waiting room changes.
Crane sports facility is an extension of the client’s home to serve multiple purposes. This addition not only gives a great place for activities like basketball and workout space for the client’s family but also gives a safe and fun place for the children that the client supports through his philanthropic foundation (foundation that is trying to prevent underage smoking). Also the large space can support parties and fund-raisers for this foundation as well.
The building that was constructed for the White Family Farm is both beautiful and functional. The details used in the project cause it to stand out as a “1 in 1,000” type of project. It was our privilege to aid the White Family in reaching their dream.
Our client, who had hired an architectural firm to design her dream garage, came to us for help to fulfill this dream. The goal was to build a new garage that appeared to be built in the same era as her 1930 era house. Much attention was given to design, detail, colors and function. This garage has three distinct purposes. One area is a heated garage, one area is a heated workshop and the upstairs is an open guest room.
Select Sires, Inc. is the largest producer of bovine semen in the U.S. This new calf campus is designed to receive 45-day-old genetically valuable calves transported from a company that conducts embryo transfer and in vitro fertilization methods with cattle. The young calves reside in Barn A for 30-35 days during which time they are weaned from a milk diet to a grain and hay diet. Each calf resides in a well-bedded pen providing 35 SF per animal for its comfort and welfare. When 75-80 days old, the calves are transferred to Barn B where they will reside until six months old. The buildings are designed to reduce the risk of the calves developing respiratory disease; the facility and buildings are designed to achieve biosecurity separation to further protect the health of these animals.
Our client wanted to develop a “rustic lodge” type building. This facility blends equestrian, kennel, and leisure into a beautiful rustic lodge atmosphere. Using natural cedar siding, natural stone wainscot, and a full stack stone fireplace this building blends in well with the natural setting. The property has been developed with the enjoyment of nature being the primary goal.
